#MarchGoodPlaces2025 Shijo Bridge is a bridge across the Kamogawa River in Kyoto, Japan. It was built in 1142 (the second year of the Eiji Era) and is a bridge with a very long history. There is a lot of traffic here, and the western part of the Kamogawa River is the commercial district of Shijo Kawaramachi. The crowded people on the bridge are in stark contrast to the people sitting on the riverside below the bridge after a leisurely stroll. If you come in spring or autumn, you can enjoy the blooming cherry blossoms and falling maple leaves. It is so beautiful. (Unfortunately, I came a little late, and the cherry blossom season has passed. Although it is a little regrettable, it feels a little unrealistic to be able to walk in such a long history and integrate it with real life. 🙈) The tranquility of Kamogawa makes people reluctant to leave. But this is the last stop of the Osaka-Kyoto trip. Kyoto / Gion Go-matsuri "Flower Umbrella Parade, Yamaboko Parade" It was a novelty to attend the festival for the first time😍 I was lucky to be in the front row of the rock section. The parade was a bit like our temple fair. I saw the children parading and I was so excited that I kept shouting (Vieshow, Vieshow)😂 The Geisha parade... It's different from what I imagined😅... I thought all geishas were as beautiful as Zhang Ziyi... But the Yamaboko car parade is very special. They are built one by one before the festival, and are pulled by manpower during the parade. The most exciting part is the turning point. The Minami-Kannonyama Hokocars and Takayama in the later festival are the largest. It takes 3 turns to complete. The locals will clap and cheer every time the car turns 👍🏼 Some Yamaboko are smaller in size, so they will turn 2 or 3 times at the turning point during the parade. The audience also clapped and cheered vigorously, and it was very lively. Unfortunately, I didn't book a flight for the pre-festival, so I could only catch the post-festival. At the ticket gate of Hankyu Shijo-Omiya Station, the New Year decorations for this year's zodiac sign were so beautiful that I couldn't help but take a picture. From there, I walked around the streets near Mibu-dera Temple. The liquor stores and rice stores also had retro storefronts. The back alleys of Kyoto were a calm townscape, and it was a lot of fun to walk around.

There are many gyukatsu restaurants in Kyoto, but this one is really in the center, the store is clean, and the service is friendly, so I had a delicious meal~ If you order the basic curry that you can dip, they give you a hot spring egg, and they have 3 kinds of sauce, rice, and miso soup were good!
