Bowness-on-Windermere is one of the liveliest and most popular towns in the Lake District and sits on the shores of Windermere. I was thinking of taking a cruise to visit the lake, but it was cloudy and rainy, so I had to go to a restaurant for hot fish and chips instead. When the rain stops, you can feed the ducks by the lake and walk the streets looking at the misty lake view. It feels peaceful and relaxing. I spent a leisurely day in the Lake District, starting with a visit to a charming pot house nestled among the greenery. From there, I wandered along the lake’s edge, enjoying the fresh air and stunning views as I explored the peaceful walking trails. The day unfolded beautifully, filled with nature’s quiet charm. As the sun began to set, I treated myself to a creamy ice cream and climbed to the top of a nearby hill, where I was rewarded with a breathtaking sunset that bathed the landscape in golden light. We hiked from the Cathedral to Salter’s Bridge, which is a very old and historically valuable stone arch bridge in the UK. It is made of stone and has experienced hundreds of years of erosion. It is very historical. There are easy hiking trails nearby. It is very suitable for hiking here and is suitable for people of all ages. Our group of four people including a puppy stayed at Castle guards farm resort during our three-day and two-night trip to Lake District. The interior decoration is very beautiful and unique, with a great feel. It has all the basic facilities, including a kitchen with kitchenware and a dishwasher, and a barbecue grill and Hot Pod outside. If you make an appointment with the host in advance, they will prepare firewood for the barbecue and Hot Pod. You only need to add 20 pounds (barbecue grill) or 50 pounds (Hot Pod). If the weather is good, it will be a great feel. Grilling with wood will create a bigger fire, start more easily and burn longer than grilling with charcoal. p.s. The Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway starts at Lakeside, the southernmost tip of Lake Windermere, and then heads southwest to Haverthwaite. Night walk along the west coast of the Lake District was something else. The place is truly beautiful and I had the pleasure of sharing all of this with my girlfriend as we celebrated 1 year together, not even the weather could dampen our spirits as we took a walk after a meal out. We stumbled across a stunningly lit harbour that also boasted a pretty cool lighthouse.
