I took the train from Wuhan to Fuzhou Railway Station, then transferred to Line 1 and rode three stops to Pingshan Station. From there, it was about a 1 km walk to Fuzhou West Lake Hotel. On the first morning, I walked around the entire West Lake, which took a little over an hour. Many citizens were strolling and exercising in West Lake Park. For the second hotel of our trip to Fuzhou, we chose the West Lake Hotel, which has an excellent location. The hotel suite had a wide variety of welcome fruits, which made us feel very welcome. The view of the lake from the window was great, and it would have been even better if the weather was sunnier. We stayed at Fuzhou West Lake Hotel on the first day. I highly recommend it! As an old state guesthouse in Fuzhou, the price of 600-700 yuan includes breakfast, which is really a good deal. Downstairs is West Lake Park and Zuohai Park. You can walk around on the first day. It is very comfortable. It was drizzling on the second day. I ate and drank enough first. The hotel breakfast was very good. There were also Fuzhou specialties such as Qingming fruit, fish balls, meat swallows, and pot-side paste. There was no need to go out to eat at fly restaurants. Rainy days are suitable for going to the Fujian Museum by the lake. There are the main natural museum and the art museum. Although each museum is very small, you can still learn something, and children are not tired when walking around. Because of the thunderstorm at night, I had a buffet dinner at the hotel. Guests can eat all kinds of seafood for 150 yuan, which is still very cost-effective. It didn't rain on the third day! We went to the Mawei Shipyard, which was a naval base, science and technology school, and shipbuilding base during the Westernization Movement. It has a very interesting history.
