Lovely place in Langkawi. Educational for the kids and adults as well. The compound is vast and there are paddy fields actually planted with seedlings when we visited. The whole area is walkable and gives you a sense of calm and serenity. There are pictures depicting how padi is planted and harvested and the tools used by padi farmers. There are also many sections specially designed for photography. There is a restaurant here as well serving local dishes. The whole area is clean and well kept. The paddy fields were in full bloom with the seedlings growing strong and sturdy. There are even cows and bullls grazing in the fields making this compound look like an authentic kampung environment. Of course, other wildlife such as birds popped by as well. It us quite a lovely place. #weekendgetaways

You’ll notice the place on your way from the airport to Cenang Beach because of the unique setting (Malaysia style gazebo). We ordered grilled lamb, ‘telur dadar’, ‘ayam penyet’, ‘ulam, spring roll, mango juice, and iced coffee for only Rm96 ringgit, not bad for three people meal. They provided a traditional bottle filled with water so we can wash our hands and all the food served in a large tray called ‘talam’ (but they did provide individual plates as well). You’ll be surround by the paddy field which was calming and relaxing. Overall it was an enjoyable experience.

Laman Padi Langkawi or Rice Museum Langkawi is a must visit place when coming to Langkawi. The location is 2 minute away from Cenang beach. As Langkawi is famous with its paddy field, you must come to see how they process the paddy. This is not just a normal museum, is an open air where you can learn about paddy in its natural setting. Apart from its beautiful view, there are a lot pagola where guest can sit and enjoy the environment and surrounding. They also has on site restaurant that offer both traditional & western menu. Enjoying your meal in the middle of paddy field. Its one of the best thing i did during my visit here. This restaurant is located at a Padi field with some nice seating malay style gazebo. Food is local authentic and the grill fish is a must to try. Compliment with local flavours drinks. 🥰 There is also some walkway into the Padi field to take some pic with scarecrow place in the field. #traveldiaries While having our vacation at Langkawi we visited the Paddy Museum called Laman Padi, where they show you the sample paddy fields and how paddy looks like, and the building inside explains the types of paddies and how it is grown. Located at the nice background area where there are attap houses and coconit trees, this is a very good spot for taking nice pictures. During earlier months the farmer will plant the paddies and when we visited, it is time to harvest so you see those paddies in golden brown. It is a very nice experience visiting there.

We went to a very underrated area at Chenang called Laman Padi. They have a lot of instagrammable areas and a museum within the same compound. If you are hungry, there is also a restaurant you can eat there!

what a wonderful dining experience where authentic malay cuisine is served. we had gazebo seat and we "bersila" like the way kampung people do. we chose a seat meal for 5 persons. the price was affordable . the star of the meal is the green curry chicken. The fresh ulam was good and we dip them in sambal belacan. In addition to that , the place itself is nice and instagrammable. We took a lot of photos and videos . In a nutshell , the experience was remarkable and the place is highly recommended . #lamanpadi

You are able to explore free of charge and learn about the process of growing rice - the various stages of rice growing, how it was planted and harvested, how they extract the rice from the plants. There is a cafe on the premises. The environment is beautiful and very suitable for taking pictures. There are many places to check in and take pictures. I highly recommend visiting this place. It’s located close to Cenang Beach.

#myhiddengems Laman Padi Langkawi is free! It showcases the history, development and production of rice in Malaysia. There's both an outdoor and indoor components. Outside there are very small rice paddies and varius gardens. The "gallery/museum" is very interesting if you enjoy agricultural and local rice history. A really great experience if you are wanting to learn about how rice fields are used. I was shown the traditional practises and could try them for ourselves. I was also shown many other trees/plants/herbs.

Me and my girlfriend had an amazing time at Langkawi Island. Everything was good, especially food and activities to do here. I love all the beaches here, It’s so peaceful here the people were not crowded which I liked it so much.
