[2025 Leshan Attraction] Travel Guide for Laoxiao Top (Updated May)

From my college days until now, I can't remember how many times I've been to Leshan, but each time was basically a fleeting visit. This time, I experienced the convenient bus service from Zigong to Leshan, giving me my first chance to really stroll through Leshan. From Leshan Passenger Transport Main Station, I walked along Zhile Road to the Zhugongxi River. I strolled through the garden-style Zhaoxia Road in the rain, and I overlooked the Zhugongxi River cultural conservation area across the river. Later, I passed through Renmin North Road and Renmin South Road to Leshan Confucian Temple, where many age-old buildings full of the sense of the times are preserved along the way. Walking into Leshan Confucian Temple, you can not only learn about Confucian culture and appreciate the beauty of traditional architecture, but also see the Wuhan University Anti-Japanese War Relocation Exhibition. Climbing up Laoxiao Peak behind the Confucian Temple, you can take in the panoramic view of Leshan's urban area after the rain.

🏠This time, I stayed at Leshan L Private Hot Spring River View Hotel. The location is excellent, and there are many snack bars just a few steps downstairs. The rooms are spacious and bright, and the private hot spring is very clean. It's so pleasant to soak in the hot spring and watch the river view at night. Below is my carefully organized two-day tour guide for Leshan~ Day 1️⃣ 📍Morning: Have breakfast at the hotel, then go to Leshan Confucian Temple, which was built in the Wude period of the Tang Dynasty. The architecture is very distinctive. 📍Morning: Go to Laoxiao Peak from the Confucian Temple. You can overlook the scenery of Leshan city on the mountain. Wanjing Tower is worth checking in. 📍Noon: Eat Leshan home-cooked dishes in nearby restaurants. The twice-cooked pork in Leshan also has a special flavor. 📍Afternoon: Take a taxi to Leshan Giant Buddha and choose to climb the mountain to see the Buddha, so you can feel the solemnity of the Buddha up close. 📍Evening: Go to Jiaxing Road Food Street, where there are all kinds of delicacies and you can feel the local atmosphere. Day 2️⃣ 📍Morning: Go to Suji Ancient Town, stroll around the ancient bridge, feel the slow life of the ancient town, and have a bowl of authentic Qiaojiao Beef by the way. 📍Noon: There are many Qiaojiao Beef restaurants in the ancient town, so you won’t go wrong if you choose one at random. 📍Afternoon: Return to the city from the ancient town and go to Jinying Villa, which has many entertainment facilities and is very suitable for relaxation. 📍Evening: Go back to the hotel to rest, or go to a bar near the hotel. The atmosphere in Hougu Bar is very good. 🚗Transportation: Transportation in Leshan is very convenient, and taxi prices are also reasonable. If you have enough time, you can also take the bus to see the scenery along the way. 💡Tips: There are many souvenir shops in the Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area. Remember to bargain when buying. Wanjing Tower is situated in front of the Wanshou Temple's main hall, originally built during the Northern Song dynasty, known as the foremost tower in the southwest. The entrance to the mountain is right beside the Confucian temple, and walking up the path allows one to overlook the full view of the Confucian temple from different angles. Along the way, there is a historical and cultural corridor with poems related to this place written by famous people from the past to the present. Overall, it is a very meaningful free park to visit. Laoxiaoding Laoxiaoding architectural complex includes Wanshou Temple, Wanjing Tower, Lingguan Tower, and other ancient buildings. The entrance to the mountain is right beside the Confucian temple, and walking up the path allows one to overlook the full view of the Confucian temple from different angles. Along the way, there are poems related to this place written by famous people from the past to the present.
