Life advice: I strongly recommend staying in this hotel before leaving Shenzhen
Encountering French elegance: First experience at Shenzhen Qianhai OCT Le Méridien
As this is the first appearance of the Le Méridien brand in Shenzhen, as a local, I was full of anticipation and couldn’t wait to check in as soon as the hotel opened.
Geographical location: Near the Bay Area with great potential
The hotel is located in Bao'an District, Shenzhen, overlooking Dachan Bay and the Penguin Island under construction. Although the current location is not very convenient, the surrounding commercial facilities are not yet complete, and there are mostly residential areas, the Le Méridien Hotel is like an isolated island. But in the long run, as the region continues to develop, its future potential cannot be underestimated.
Room experience: exquisite design, different views
I stayed in room 2820, which faces Dachan Bay and offers a charming view of the bay, which is exactly the same as the view from the lounge. As far as I know, rooms 15, 17, 20 and 22 offer even more stunning sea views. The hotel has a limited number of suites. Although the basic rooms are not large, they are ingeniously designed and I really like them.
Catering feast: outstanding quality and full of sincerity
As for the lounge, I was not able to try the evening snacks because I had a dinner appointment with friends, but I observed it at 5:30 and found that the food was rich and varied, and the hotel was very sincere. The breakfast was also excellent, with salmon, morning tea, Benedict eggs, and even my favorite Yakult, which was very thoughtful.
Price consideration: Trip Coins check-in, high cost performance
Currently, the basic room type price of the calendar room is 1100+, and I used 1.55k Trip Coins to redeem for my stay. Compared with cash payment, the cost-effectiveness of Trip Coins redemption is quite high.
Hotel highlights: dual enjoyment of hardware and catering
The hardware facilities are excellent. Le Méridien is my favorite hotel brand in the Marriott Group. The hardware selection of this new hotel is even more remarkable. Many details show care, such as the rotatable desk lamp for easy reading. The catering is excellent and is one of the best in the Shenzhen Marriott luxury series.
Small suggestion: There is still room for improvement in service details
Parking is currently free, but the staff were not detailed enough in their guidance. The security guard at one exit gave incorrect guidance, causing me to take a long detour. In addition, as a titanium member, when I checked in in the afternoon, I was arranged to room 12, the only room on each floor facing the elevator entrance, even though there were enough rooms. After communication, I was able to change to a quiet room. I hope that the details of the member services can be optimized.
Overall, I am quite satisfied with this stay experience, and I look forward to more friends sharing their stay experience.
Soundproofing/sanitation: Excellent performance, quiet and clean environment
Room type/layout: Basic rooms are exquisitely designed, and some rooms have excellent sea views
Supplies/Facilities: Brand new facilities, with care in every detail
Average per capita consumption: Basic room type 1100+, Trip Coins is more advantageous
Other tips: It is recommended to choose rooms 15, 17, 20, and 22 to enjoy the sea view; be sure to confirm the parking entrance with the staff; members can communicate their preferred room type in advance.
