Getting There - Didi about 35 minutes from the hotel. Attractions - Leiqiong UNESCO Global Geopark Hotels - Jin Jiang Metropolo Hotel Food & Restaurants - Chinese restaurants and snack vendors selling a variety of different foods at the park. We strolled through lush tropical forest, explored the Maanling Crater, and even wash your hands at the “龙口” (Dragon Mouth), which is a notable geological formation resembling a dragon’s mouth, from which water flows. It is believed that if you wash your hands here, it can bring you good luck and blessings, symbolizing purification and a fresh start :) What surprised us most was how serene and green everything felt, despite the dramatic volcanic setting. It’s a perfect half-day trip if you’re in Haikou and love nature, geology, or just quiet, scenic walks. The park itself isn’t very large and can be comfortably explored within 2.5 to 3 hours. During our visit, we took a 20-minute cab ride from central Haikou to reach the park. Standing on the edge of the crater, overlooking the huge deep pit, and feeling the majestic momentum of the volcanic eruption in ancient times, it is really shocking! Moreover, the park has lush vegetation and fresh air.
