Leofoo Village describes itself as the largest theme park in Taiwan. Although that sounds like promotional nonsense, I actually believe it’s true. There’s a huge driveway at the entrance of the resort and the parking area is huge. Luckily, crowds seem to be just as light as they were at other Taiwanese amusement parks. That’s not the only good news. As a foreigner, we get a 50 percent discount at the cash register.

I participated in the Adventure on Beast Island at Leofoo Village Theme Park in Hsinchu, Taiwan. I made a reservation on the official website of Leofoo Village. I booked a time slot at 1:15 pm and needed to report to the entrance 30 minutes in advance. Then a special car would pick you up and take you to the pick-up point for the beast cage car. You need to fill in some personal information before getting on the bus, and you will receive a certificate after completing it. Depart on time at 1:15 pm! The entire experience lasts about 1 hour, with a guide on site to guide and feed the animals throughout the experience. The first area is the white tiger’s home, the second area is the Bengal tiger’s, and the last one is the lion’s home! The wild animals seemed to know there was food and would automatically approach the cage cart. Watching the facial features and movements of wild animals at a very close distance is an experience that is totally worth it!
