I recently stayed at the Leonardo hotel in Ancoats as it is very close to Manchester Piccadilly train station. It has got a nice communal area to have a drink/food in and I found the gym to be quite well-equipped for a hotel gym! The room was bright and airy with all the mod cons that you would expect from the hotel.
