You must visit Xikongtong this autumn.
Lianhua Mountain was formerly known as "Xikongtong". As early as the early Ming Dynasty, it was designated as a famous Buddhist and Taoist mountain. It is said that Guangchengzi often traveled to Xikongtong. The main peak of Lianhua Mountain is 3,578 meters above sea level. It has the danger of Huashan, the strangeness of Huangshan, the seclusion of Qingcheng, and the beauty of Emei, and has beautiful natural scenery.
Lianhua Mountain is a remnant of the Xiqing Mountains, with a total area of 188,000 acres. The entire mountain is made up of exposed limestone with scale-like faults, sharp peaks shaped like lotus petals, and a flat and round top in the middle, shaped like a lotus core. It is named because the mountain resembles a blooming nine-petal lotus. The climate here is complex and the biomes are diverse. The existing forest area is more than 1,200 hectares, with about 90 families, 346 genera and more than 745 species of plants; 45 species of mammals, 133 species of birds, 2 species of reptiles, 4 species of amphibians, 5 species of fish, and more than 560 species of insects.
