The Hague in Netherlands is a vibrant city with rich history and stunning architecture. It is also the political centre of the Netherlands with many key institutions like the Dutch Parliament. More importantly, I went specially to see the painting - Girl with a Pearl Earring! Attractions: 1. Mauritshuis + Girl with a Pearl Earring Highlights - Mauritshuis is a famous art museum and has a great collection of artwork from Dutch Golden Age, including works by Vermeer and Rembrandt. Also, the museum building itself has beautiful architecture. Take time to admire the oil painting - Girl with a Pearl Earring by painter Johannes Vermeer. 2. Peace Palace Highlights - This is the seat of the International Court of Justice, the palace is stunning with beautiful gardens and rich history. 3. Binnenhof Highlights - A historic complex with very cool Gothic architecture and the iconic Hall of Knights. 4. Noordeinde Palace Highlights - Beautiful royal palace for Dutch monarch with elegant architecture. 5. Grote market Highlights - This is a lively central marketplace, where you can find so manh shops selling fresh produce, local delicacies. The Hague is a major hub for consulates, with most countries having their consulates located here. The Hague is also home to the famous painting 'Girl with a Pearl Earring.' Originally housed in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, it was later moved to the Mauritshuis in The Hague. I traveled all the way here to see it 🥺. However, the Mauritshuis is relatively small, and compared to the national museum, it might not meet your expectations. If you're interested in visiting, you might want to consider this. The weather in The Hague changes frequently, with sunny skies one moment and heavy rain the next. Because of this, you might even see double rainbows 😆. After arriving in The Hague, I finally understood why you often see bicycles being fished out of the canals in Dutch videos. The wind here is really strong; even without a typhoon, the wind is strong enough to blow you away.

The passage; A shopping complex with plenty of items and food you can get from. The unique thing about The Passage is because of the grand architecture, glass-roofed shopping arcade dating from 1885, the passageway reminds me of St. Hubert in Brussels. 2. H&M; Located just opposite of The Passage, probably the fanciest H&M branch I ever entered. 3. Binnenhof Viewing Tower; You may enter for free. This viewing tower offers a unique view of the 800-year-old architecture of the Binnenhof during the renovation. 4. The New Church; Protestant Church with small cafe available in the facility. I was not able to go inside but it was a nice walk around the church.

Den Haag Centraal is the largest railway station in the city of The Hague in South Holland, Netherlands, and with twelve tracks, the largest terminal station in the Netherlands. The railway station opened in 1973, adjacent to its predecessor: Den Haag Staatsspoor, which was subsequently demolished. I was surprised with those buildings along our way to the central station, the tall and new buildings that are seldom seen in Europe since almost buildings here are historical and preserved. Scheveningen beach - beautiful in day and sunset. You can enjoy a long walk on the boulevard or sit inside a restaurant with good food options. From Den Haag Centraal station, you can take tram 9 direct to Kurhaus stop and you will be at the beach. it is 15 min tram journey. Parking is available, but not easy to find a slot in a sunny day.

Den Haag often referred to as The Hague is a great spot for tourists to visit whether from Europe or internationally. There is plenty to do in the city from trying delicious foods, touring on one of the many electrical scooters, or even visiting one of the many museums located in the area. The city is very walkable and the locals are quite friendly as well. We happened to stay in Chinatown at a great location with friendly accommodations. Every morning we would go to have pancakes and decide what we wanted to do that day. Amsterdam was not far away either and only a quick train ride through the countryside would get us there. We particularly enjoyed the downtown area with the shops such as Decathlon (Sporting goods store) and Primark (clothing store). Most people who visit The Netherlands and want to see some of the Dutch masters work end up going to the Rijks museum in Amsterdam. But, there's another great museum located in The Hague called Mauritshuis. Here you can find many good examples of the baroque paintings from the Dutch Golden Age. Famed Dutch artist Rembrandt features heavily, but the most famous painting here has to be the Girl with the Pearl Earring by Vermeer. The museum is located next to the Binnehof, which is only a ten minute walk from the central train station. Mauritshuis, located in The Hague, is one of the premium art galleries in the Netherlands and is known for its vast collection of Dutch and Flemish paintings. Grote Kerk is found in The Hague and is a large church that is built from red brick in Gothic style. The original building here would have been built in the 13th century although it was razed to the ground in 1539 and rebuilt in the present structure. The church has an illustrious history as the spot where many members of the Dutch royal family where baptized including King Willem-Alexander who had his christening here. Yang Zhifa and Wang Puzhi never thought that the hoe they plunged into the ground to make a well would turn out to be the most spectacular archaeological discovery of the 20th century: the Terracotta Army made during the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC). The statues are in the emperor Qin Shi Huang's tomb complex. Zhifa and Puzhi are a pair of brothers who work as farmers and live as neighbors in the Lintong County district, outside Xi'an city, Shaanxi province, China. Xi'an is not a popular city like Beijing or Shanghai. Although there are stories about the Monks Tong Sam Cong and Sun Go Kong or how the city became the entry point for Islam to China brought by Arab traders in 651 AD (error: previously written BC) during the Tang Dynasty. Syahdan, that day Zhifa and Puzhi agreed to make a well in a field about an hour's bus ride from their house. When she arrived and started hoeing, Zhifa was startled by something that hit the hoe. He immediately told Puzhi. At first they thought that what was hit was a Buddha statue. However, their guess was wrong: it was a statue of the Terracotta Warrior. The news of this important discovery spread quickly. Several months later, an archaeological team led by Zhao Kangmin and several Chinese officials arrived there. We had visited this cafe last year during our previous trip. And it sort of stayed in memory for it's good food. The place looks even nicer after it moved to this new spot. We had several brunches there and everything tasted amazing! We ordered iced coffee, juice, croissant with eggs and avocado toast and nothing had defects. Wonderful little alternative cafe in the heart of Hague. We had some breakfast and coffee. The portions are plenty especially for the money and we both were very satisfied with our dishes. The coffee is very aromatic and we had some of their pastries for take away which was also great. The staff is super nice but get ready to sit outside since there is only one little table inside. The rest of the cafe has a roof but it can get cold since its very open. The staff and the owner are so friendly and amazing. The food is delicious and cappuccino was fantastic! We ordered simple fried eggs with toast, and a chicken and chorizo pesto sandwich on sourdough baguette. The butter was soft and easy to spread. I think they could improve the jam, but overall it was very good. They have diary free options for the coffee. The flat white with oat milk was very good. The porridge was nice. We usually have it with peanut butter, but with mixed nuts it was also ok. It was perfect and fresh. Glad we stumbled upon this gem of a cafe. #hollandtrip #staycation #hague

Delightful atmosphere in the heart of the city transcending the concrete to take you to a green space. Rustic look and an even more amazing menu. You can't put a tone to the menu but the food specially tasty. Went with the recommendation of the staff who boasted about their mashed avocado. The food is definitely the highlight here. Although I would have expected a poached egg on each toast but that could have been a mistake from the kitchen for all I know. It's a very short stroll from the station for the early birds this makes an excellent spot for breakfast. #hollandtrip #goodfoods

Brilliant little spot for a coffee or lunch break. The sandwiches are rich and inexpensive, go for the combo with the soup! My favourite however we the juices, take the ginger/citrus one! The food was delicious, but I missed one more portion of bread (croissant in this case) to get the proportions right, as you have to admit the salmon portion was decent. My friend had a similar feeling about her portion - Huevos Rancheros. It's perfect for those who enjoy staying round plants and flowers, listening to lounge music in an informal place drinking a hot and delicious coffee drink. This was a memorable cafe we visited with our dutch friend. Such a fantastic feeling in this place, it's got a vibe!! Cool staff, guys are super friendly. Great, hipster cafe with a cool outdoor vibe. Lots of plants and greenery in the patio out the back, which really creates a nice, relaxing setting. The food was also delicious. Fast and lovely service, the food is fenomenal. The place looks like a tropical garden, which was so nice.
