Arena Apartments, chosen during our trip to Brisbane, Australia! Since it is located in Southbank, it is easily accessible from the city and the room condition was also very good! The fact that basic amenities and tableware were provided was also a merit and the soft bedding that rivaled those of hotels gave off a ho-kang feeling :) However, the fact that there was no shower in the bathroom and the view was as dark as it looked in the picture was very disappointing There was no sunlight in the room, it was so different from the picture I told the receptionist several times but they said it was fully booked even though I checked on Trip.com that the same room for the same date was still available and they belatedly informed me that all rooms with the same condition as the room we booked were on the first floor (It was marked as G-10th floor when we booked, but we booked it much cheaper than the market price, and even if we told them more, it would have been inconvenient for both of us, so we just stayed 😅) Regardless of the truth, I was a little disappointed by the poor receptionist's response! Facing the Brisbane River and the city center skyline, it is a perfect corner for picnics, relaxation, and watching the sunset. At that time, the sun was slowly setting towards the horizon, the sky was dyed orange, the river was shining, and the whole city looked particularly soft and peaceful. There were already quite a few people sitting on the grass. Some people laid picnic mats and chatted while eating, some people just stared at the other side in a daze, and there were couples walking hand in hand. The atmosphere was very comfortable and relaxed. There are also several highly rated restaurants nearby, which seem to be suitable for dining here in the evening and enjoying the night view. How could there be such a strong Asian-style building in Australia? When I got closer, I found that this was actually a pagoda imported from Nepal and built for the 1988 World Expo, which is now permanently preserved here. The whole pagoda is built with carved wood, and the details are amazing. Every wall and every pillar is carved with Buddhist totems and traditional patterns. Standing in front of the pagoda makes people want to slow down and appreciate these traces of handicrafts.
