Liuhou Temple, formerly known as Luochi Temple, is located in the west corner of Liuhou Park in the center of Liuzhou. Liu Zongyuan, courtesy name Zihou (AD 773-819), was a native of Hedong (now Yuxiang Town, Yongji City, Shanxi Province) in the Tang Dynasty. -819) and did many things that were beneficial to the people. Three years after he died of illness in Liuzhou, the local people built Luochi Temple to worship him. At the end of the Northern Song Dynasty, Song Huizong posthumously named him "Wenhuihou", and the ancestral hall was renamed "Liuhou Temple".
