The current exhibit by Jennifer Guidi in West Bund’s Long Museum is free to visit. While it’s quite small, the artwork is beautifully crafted. Running down the 🛣️ road from Middle Longhua road station in 500 meters, this gigantic metal structure will come into your view. If you go here, after 6.30 pm in the evening you can see lot of kids playing around with their skating 🛹 boards, elderly persons doing their everyday exercises and youthful people running down 🏃 the tracks. In Ghadyanloo's paintings, the most recurring motifs are display windows (or boxes) and children's play equipment. In his recent works, Ghadyanloo has depicted a series of children's play structures—slides and merry-go-rounds—in various sizes, shapes, and vibrant colors, mostly placed inside box-like display windows. With the lighting from above, these scenes evoke a sense of surrealism and symbolism. On Museum Day, May 18th, the final stop of the journey was at the Long Museum. A long queue formed at the entrance, and upon seeing the museum's notice that the wait would be two hours, I immediately decided to retreat.
