We took the HSR + cab method to go, and the cab method to head back. My recommendation: just spend a bit extra and take the cab all the way if you have a group of 4. In Wulong, for a single day, highly recommend to do Three Natural Bridges (1.5hrs with photos) and LongShuiMen Fissure (1.5hrs with photos). If time allows, explore the Furong Cave also (closed by 17:00). Head back to the city by 8pm and enjoy some local food. We opted to Halal options for which there is a whole street dedicated for it, with mainly hotpot options and classic China Style Restaurants.
