Longtan National Forest Park is located 18 km from Guiping City, in the Jintian Forest Farm of the Dayao Mountain Range. At noon, we returned from the Jintian Uprising Site of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and passed by the park. According to the travel guide, Longtan is a must-see. There are more than 5 km of winding mountain roads from the entrance to the main scenic area of Longtan. The car drove slowly, and we opened the windows. All we could see was green, and we could smell the fresh, refreshing scent of the plants. What a pleasure! The highlight of the entrance to Longtan is a large group of wild monkeys waiting for tourists. They are friendly and will not attack guests, although they will bite, fight, and quarrel with each other. There is a voice reminder in the scenic area: "Please do not feed the monkeys to avoid being bitten." The driver in front of us fed the monkeys, and they surrounded the car. I took a picture of this interesting scene. There are two roads to Longtan. One goes directly down and back the same way. The other goes along a glass walkway, then down to the bottom of the pool and around it. We chose the latter. What fascinated us most was the bottom of the pool, the natural oxygen bar. According to the park's introduction, the negative oxygen ion content is 89,000 per cubic meter, the highest in South China. Negative oxygen ions are amazing. They are called vitamins and auxins in the air. Studies have shown that they have a therapeutic effect on the respiratory system and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. In the huge scenic area, there were only my husband and me. We closed our eyes, took a deep breath, and enjoyed the gift of nature. We shouted loudly and felt so comfortable! I was so greedy that I didn't want to leave! Maybe I inhaled enough oxygen, so I climbed the mountain on an empty stomach without feeling tired.
