It was first built in the third year of Xiankang in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (337 AD) and was originally named "Dakong Temple". In the second year of Yongding in the Liang Dynasty (558 AD), Master Zhigong expanded the temple. In the second year of Tianshou in the Wu Zetian period (619 AD), the temple was renamed "Dayun Temple". In the sixth year of Kaiyuan in the Tang Xuanzong period (718 AD), the temple was officially named "Longxing Temple". Longxing Temple has experienced many ups and downs throughout history. Initially, my visit was motivated by the stupa within the temple, but to my surprise, I was greeted by a vast expanse of bougainvillea, cascading down like a waterfall, providing a truly picturesque scene. In addition to the bougainvillea, the hydrangeas in the garden were also in full bloom, albeit in lesser numbers. This is simply too picturesque! My friends all thought I had embarked on an overseas journey... Little did I expect to discover such an exotic ancient temple hidden in Pengzhou. The Longxing Temple Stupa, constructed in 1997, is an awe-inspiring architectural marvel. The main tower stands at a height of 81 meters, spanning 17 floors. One can ascend to the top of the main tower and enjoy a panoramic view of the entire Pengzhou city. The entire temple exudes a Southeast Asian ambiance, as if one has stepped into a different world. The orange walls make for stunning photographs, and I'm certain that a vacation-style outfit would enhance the aesthetic appeal of the photos! I happened to visit the temple on a whim and didn't dress up for the occasion. I truly wish to revisit this place, oh how I yearn for it! Many people come here to light incense and pray for blessings, and it is said to be quite efficacious. There are numerous local eateries nearby, with the steamed beef being particularly delectable. The cold mixed deboned meat was simply amazing, with chewy meat and crunchy cartilage, offering a crisp texture, and the spicy red oil made it even more delicious! This meal cost us 50 yuan for two people, which was an incredible value, with generous portions and great taste! Recommended for friends visiting Pengzhou for the first time.🍽️ After lunch, we immediately set off for today's ultimate destination: Longxing Temple! Longxing Temple is located at the north entrance of Pengzhou city, and from a distance, you can see a tall tower, a Tibetan Buddhist temple with exotic styles, known worldwide for the Shakyamuni Buddha's true body relic stupa.
