This was so much better than I expected it to be. It is absolutely stunning! I've always wanted to visit Huangguoshu and Dragon Palace, but I've been too busy until this time when I took a public holiday. We set off at 2pm on September 12th, driving from Kaili. We stayed overnight in Zhenning after dinner, and bought a package ticket online (Huangguoshu and Dragon Palace). We visited Huangguoshu on Day 1, and went to Dragon Palace in the morning of Day 2. The whole journey took until noon: park the car at the visitor center parking lot, take the scenic area bus to the entrance (very far), walk inside, buy a one-way elevator ticket to go uphill, then take the "First Entry to Dragon Palace" and "Second Entry to Dragon Palace" boats, then walk down the second half of the journey (but actually, you only need to take the boat twice to visit the whole place, then take the boat back the same way. The second half is mainly along mountain trails and temples, which is a long walk, especially for those with elderly people or children, not recommended). Feelings: Dragon Palace is very beautiful, take a boat and turn on the video mode, but pay attention to safety, especially to avoid bumping your head. You need to take the boat twice, it's best not to get off the boat after the second boat trip, and return on the same boat. The second half is too far and tiring. Suggestion: Buy a package ticket on the first day. On the first day of the trip, rush in the morning, visit Dragon Palace after lunch, stay overnight in Zhenning County, and visit Huangguoshu in the morning of the second day. Visit the Big Waterfall, Tianxing Bridge, and Doupotang in order throughout the day. (It's best to walk down the second half of Tianxing Bridge, because there are many beautiful scenery in the second half, such as waterfalls and caves).

You must go and see it if you have the chance. We went there on 9.19. There were very few people. It took more than ten minutes for the sightseeing bus to get on for half of the passengers. There was no need to queue the whole time. We originally wanted to follow the Ctrip travel guide and walk in the opposite direction, but after the staff learned about it, they came over and told us that walking forward without queuing would be a shorter distance. Sure enough, we finished the two-hour tour with less than 10,000 steps. We haven't taken the elevator yet (I personally feel that the 20 yuan for the elevator is not worth it, because you can walk through two caves, which is very cool, and the steps at the back are not difficult to walk. It takes more than ten minutes to walk up the steps to get to the elevator). But after entering the Dragon Palace for the second time, we walked to the sightseeing bus pick-up point. According to the Ctrip travel guide, we took the "no tourists allowed" path, and it was indeed very close. The master who carried people on the slide also took this staircase and arrived at the bottom much faster than others who took the main road. When there are not many people, Dragon Palace is really comfortable. It is cool throughout the whole process. There are shady green trees and not too much exposure to the sun. It is recommended.
