Hotel Review: Lot 33 Boutique Hotel
Since Langkawi Island is known for its beaches, we deliberately chose a hotel close to one. Lot 33 Boutique Hotel was not exactly close but at least it was just minutes’ walk away. In fact, one of the main reasons for choosing this 3-stars boutique hotel was its jacuzzi tub! Since all the deluxe rooms were fitted with either the jacuzzi or bathtub, we picked the Deluxe King Room with Jacuzzi.
I felt like I was stepping into an antique museum as I made my way to the reception counter. The place was dim with large jars and Buddha heads lined at the corners. Some might not even like the unusual ambience of the Balinese style I supposed. After checking in, I took the room key and headed to level 2 since there were no lifts in sight.
We made our way up the dim steps and the first turn was our room. The room was so spacious that it could fit another kind size bed with ample space at least. The toilet was just as huge, with 2 basins and of course the Jacuzzi tub that fit 2 pax. There were balconies as well which faces the street where a 24-hour mart is located directly opposite. The aircons were like those industrial ones in offices and it was freezing cold at 27 degrees.
Breakfast was provided during our stay, but we decided to dine out instead. It was the basic such as toast, coffee, tea and orange juice. Overall, the stay was quite comfortable, and the staffs were pretty polite. They also offer huge rooms that could cater to large group of up to 8 pax too!
