Historic buildings

Located in the southeast of Delhi, the Lotus Temple was built in 1986 and named after its shape resembling a blooming lotus flower. Although it is a Ha'i chapel, people of any race and religion can pray here, showing great inclusiveness. The temple is built with white marble, which looks like three layers of white petals from a distance, and the "lotus" is supported by nine clear water pools. The tall and empty temple has neither statues nor decorations such as carvings and murals. Rows of white marble benches and a podium for the chair were set on the smooth floor. There is no special ceremony required to enter the temple, and no matter what religion you have, anyone only needs to take off their shoes and enter the temple, sit down and meditate and pray.
