💞Recommendation reason:
"#National Government Showa Memorial Park" was built in 1983 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Emperor Showa's accession to the throne. Located in Tachikawa City, it covers an area of 160 hectares, an area equivalent to 40 Tokyo Domes, and has different beautiful scenery in each season. In addition to the natural beauty, there are also recreational facilities such as children's play equipment, swimming pools, bicycle paths, boats, barbecue areas, etc.
Transportation Tips: The route with the fewest transfers is to take the Chuo Rapid Line from JR Shinjuku Station. It takes 34 minutes to reach JR Nishi-Tachikawa Station, which is connected to the park entrance, Nishi-Tachikawa Exit, by an overpass. If you get off at JR Tachikawa Station, you will need to walk about 15 minutes to reach the Akebono Exit of the park.
Entering Tachikawaguchi, you will soon arrive at the CANAL area, where ginkgo trees are planted symmetrically on both sides of the fountain. About 200 meters long. The yellow ginkgo leaves covering the road look like a golden carpet, dreamy and magical. Every year, the lights are turned on from dusk, presenting a beautiful view that is different from the daytime.
