The courtyard of Lu Xun's former residence is always neat and elegant, and has become an important part of the Lu Xun Museum. This is one of the earliest "biographical museums" established in New China. The museum has a collection of more than 30,000 cultural relics, including the manuscript of Lu Xun's lost geological articles, a fragment of "The True Story of Ah Q", and the manuscript of "Self-Portrait" written by Lu Xun in his 20s, all of which are rare treasures.No. 19, Neigongmenkou Ertiao, Fuchengmen, Xicheng District, Beijing, was Lu Xun's residence in Beijing from 1924 to 1926. It was designed and rebuilt by Lu Xun himself in the spring of 1924, and he moved in in May of the same year until August 1926, when he left Beijing and went to the south. In May 1929 and November 1932, Lu Xun returned to Beijing from Shanghai to visit his mother twice, and also lived here. Lu Xun's former residence is an ordinary small courtyard in Beijing. From the architecture to the space furnishings, it is relatively simple. Here, Lu Xun completed many combat works, including the three collections of "Huagaiji", "Huagaiji Xubian", and "Wild Grass", as well as some articles in "Wandering", "Chaohua Xishi" and "Grave", which were all written here.
