Few people, beautiful scenery, free, "Luzhi" is not inferior to "Zhouzhuang".
In the Jiangnan Water Town, there are many ancient towns and old streets. Some are well-known, and some are unknown; some towns charge hundreds of yuan for tickets, and some are free and free. Luzhi Ancient Town, located in Wuzhong District, Suzhou, belongs to the latter type of free ancient town. In fact, the ancient towns and old streets in the south of the Yangtze River are similar: the same small bridges and flowing water, the same houses by the water; the same pink walls and black tiles, the same corridors and streets, the difference is only the size of the town.
Luzhi Ancient Town, located in Wuzhong District, Suzhou, is a Chinese cultural ancient town with a history of more than 2,500 years. Luzhi is not only a long history, but also a beautiful natural environment. It is a place where the natural beauty of the water town and the rich cultural heritage are integrated. Like Zhouzhuang in Kunshan, Luzhi is also the first batch of Chinese historical and cultural towns, and was included in the updated "China World Cultural Heritage Preparatory List" in 2012. In the town, there are many celebrities, mansions, and memorials, such as Shen's Mansion and Xiao's Mansion. Of course, these also require tickets. In fact, visiting the ancient town is to enjoy the local customs of "Water Country", and for ordinary tourists, these ancient houses are not necessary.
Baosheng Temple is located on the east side of Luzhi Ancient Town. It is a thousand-year-old temple in the south of the Yangtze River. The plastic Arhats in the museum of the temple are said to be the works of Yang Huizhi, a plastic saint in the Tang Dynasty. Baosheng Temple, originally named Baosheng Jiao Temple, was built in the second year of Liang Tianjian (503 AD) and has a history of more than 1,500 years. The existing buildings in the temple include Ershanmen, Tianwang Hall, Museum, etc. In 1961, the Arhat statue of Baosheng Temple was listed as one of the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
Jiangnan Culture Park at the southernmost end of Luzhi is also a good sightseeing spot. The cultural park covers an area of about 150 acres and is a classical garden with the characteristics of the Jiangnan Water Town, integrating leisure, entertainment and sightseeing. The Jiangnan Culture Park takes the theme of "ancient town living fossils, cultural new experience", condenses the diverse and multi-level tourism resources of Luzhi, and becomes a new model for displaying the differentiated tourism of the ancient town, thereby expanding the new area of the ancient town cultural heritage.
