This restaurant is just next to our Arena Star Beach Hotel, just a stone walking distance away. The waiter was so friendly and welcoming, even offer us a free drinking water since we just ordered food (actually we just done had a drink at a small stall and we are enough with drinks). We ordered Egg Briyani and Chapati, the taste was great and strongly recommend to come try it out if you are coming over to Maafushi!

When I was there, I think I paid around 20-25$ which include swimming with the dolphins and turtles, snorkling and lunch in this beautiful sandbank. Maafushi was heavily damaged by the 2004 tsunami which impacted on over 100,000 of the Maldives 300,000 population. The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, supported by the Irish and American Red Cross Societies, began work on a mains sewage system on 10 August 2006. The International Federation has also funded the building of homes for those who lost theirs during the tsunami. According to the latest Census conducted in 2014, the total population of Maafushi is at 2,692 out of which 2,340 are Maldivians, and 352 foreigners.

Ma Fu Shi resident island is a small residential island with a population of only 500. The islanders seem to have a talented artist-like artistic talent. Visiting here is cheaper than staying in resort islands but the views and activities are pretty much the same. You can also get a local experience here. There are plenty of activities to do here such as snorkeling tours, boat tours, fishing etc. the island is small and no public transport is needed. It is quite close to the Male airport also and is just a 40 minutes ride from there. I highly suggest coming here this spring if you are on a budget.
