Nosy Be - hidden gem of Madagascar
The island of Nosy Be is a jewel off the north-west coast of Madagascar. Geographically speaking, Nosy Be is the largest island in the Mitsio archipelago and forms part of the Diana region. It is surrounded by the Indian Ocean, with crystal-clear waters lining its shores and colourful coral reefs to explore.
The mont Passot, located in the centre of the island, is the highest point of Nosy Be and offers spectacular panoramic views of the whole island and surrounding islands.
The best time to travel to Nosy Be depends on individual preferences and planned activities. However, in general, the period from April to November is considered the best time to visit the island. During these months, Nosy Be enjoys a dry and sunny climate, with pleasant temperatures ranging from 25°C to 30°C. Lemuria Land
Brilliant park, immaculate conditions.
At the entrance you pay 45.000 in local money (or 13€), we’ve been told all that money going to buy food for animals, and also guide including.
Our guide nice woman Victoria was able to help us spot the Lemurs easily and interact with them. It’s a truly great experience. Our guide spotted Chameleons, snakes, and the rest.
The animals are in their environment and not in captivity. They are naturally kept in the park otherwise they would be in danger elsewhere.
We can approach them without necessarily overdoing it.
we loved our time in Nosy Be and were treated very well with warm Malagasy hospitality.

Hotel Arc en Ciel|The perfect combination of sea-facing restaurant and warm atmosphere
Located on the first row of the coast, Hotel Arc en Ciel is a hotel with a warm atmosphere and a resort feel. We did not stay here this time, but we stopped by to dine and enjoyed the clean environment and friendly service.
The restaurant features a spacious semi-outdoor seating area. The dishes are a fusion of Italian and Malagasy flavors, and the taste is ok. In addition to the usual rice, the restaurant also has pizza, so the choices are quite rich.

Madagascar: "The most beautiful country with the fewest tourists" - Vanilla Four Islands Cruise ⑬
Madagascar is relatively unfamiliar to Chinese people. Even students who listen carefully in geography class may only remember the title of "the fourth largest island in the world." However, the animated blockbuster series "Madagascar" produced by DreamWorks, founded by Steven Spielberg, used the country's name as the title of the film, which made it famous. The large number of cute little elves that appear in the film are lemurs, a unique species formed after Madagascar split from the African continent and was isolated from the world.
"The most beautiful countries with the fewest tourists" is an alternative list, and Madagascar is unfortunately included in it. The reason why tourists are deterred is probably because Madagascar is also on the list of "least developed countries in Africa".
But we still have to go! This poor but beautiful big island was fortunately included in the itinerary during our cruise to the Paradise Beach Mini Country.
Although Nosy Be, the northernmost island of Madagascar, cannot even accommodate a medium-sized cruise ship of 80,000 tons, we still have to take a lifeboat to get there.
We set foot on this island where 90% of the flora and fauna are unique. On Nosy Be Island, we smelled the fragrance of ylang-ylang flowers all over the island; we also saw the deep rosemary eyes of African girls and the carefree smiles on the faces of children; in the Rockbe Nature Reserve, we encountered wild animals ranked first on the world's endangered species list - lemurs with beautiful big eyes, including crested lemurs, red-bellied lemurs, and the ring-tailed lemur with 12 black and white rings on its tail. It is the "King Julien" in the movie "Madagascar".

Bus from Antananarivo to Nosy Be
Information on bus travel from Antananarivo to Nosy Be
The bus hub is Gare routiere Parkazy on Google Maps, and buses are available everywhere.
The most famous bus company is Cotisse, but it is a popular company that requires reservations several days in advance, so if you can't make a reservation, you can use this bus company. It is for locals, so there are many buses every day.
The fare is about 4,000 yen. I had no idea that it would be a hellish 40-hour bus trip from here...
The roads are also bad and difficult, so it's better to fly.

Lemuria Land in Nosy Be
I went to Lemuria Land in Nosy Be.
This is one of the best places in Madagascar. There are few people and you can get really close to the animals.
When you enter the park, you will be accompanied by a guide who will explain things to you in English. You can meet the lemurs, chameleons, and turtles that are endemic to Madagascar, and you can even feed them.
On the way, the guide will catch some cicadas, and when you call out to the lemurs for food, they will flock over. They really seem to love cicadas (lol).
You can feed the turtles cabbage, and when you stroke their necks, they squint their eyes in pleasure. You can also feed the chameleons cicadas, and you can see them stretching out their tongues to eat.

Walking around Nosy Be
You can also get a glimpse of local life in Nosy Be. The photo shows a market in Nosy Be. Fish caught in the sea of Nosy Be every day are lined up here.
There are also vegetables and Madagascar's famous vanilla beans on display.
As you walk further into the city, you will often see traditional wooden huts and cows pulling luggage. There is a unique atmosphere that is neither Asian nor African.
It is a peaceful place, so after playing in the sea, I recommend renting a motorbike and going around the island and walking around the city.

The Sea of Nosy Be
I went to Nosy Be in the north of Madagascar.
From Antananarivo, it's a 40-hour bus ride over rough roads (not recommended as it's harsh), followed by a 2-hour flight. It's peaceful and many French people come here for retirement or vacation.
The sunsets are beautiful here too.
There are plenty of activities to choose from, such as snorkeling, scuba diving, and island hopping.
Depending on the season, you can go whale watching and swim with whale sharks.
I recommend just relaxing.

The island visited by Kian84
Spot that appeared on the world tour while I was born-!
It is a place that you can only see if you go to Nosy Be Island in Madagascar.
The large island and the small island are connected, making the beach more attractive. It is used as a vacation spot for the French..

Finding a
Finding a favorite place on Nosy Be is difficult. The idyllic beaches on both sides of the West Coast are lush, romantic sunsets appear on time every night, and the most popular is Nosy Iranja, 2 km from Nosy Be Island, which is the most beautiful in Madagascar. Beach.
Nosy Iranja is actually two separate islands with stunning blue water on both sides, an island at low tide, islands connected by dreamy white sandbars, stunning beaches, waters Clear and transparent, the sunset is colorful, from flying foxes to green turtles, huge light to hermit crabs, Nosy Iranja is a paradise island for humans and wildlife.
In such a beautiful place, of course, you can't miss a perfect aerial photography, but I didn't expect that because the drone flies too high, it is blocked by the clouds and there is no signal to return. It flies so gracefully into the beautiful Indian Ocean.
I stayed a
I stayed at the Garden Hotel in Nosy Be Island. On the first day, I was a little disgusted. I was slowly attracted by his garden. I began to find a chameleon in the garden. The first one turned into five, like living in a zoo. . I first found a chameleon in the garden, and I was excited by the sorrow of the heavy rain. Three people were looking for animals in the yard.
Every time I find a new treasure, the waiter tells us that I can grab him with my hands. They are very cute. Although I know it is harmless, it is very scary to put it on my hand. After touching it for a while, they can't breathe in their hands. After observing, I believe that the chameleon really blocks a tree.
Chameleon is a reptile that mainly inhabits trees. In addition to spawning and courtship, it rarely visits land. When they occasionally crawl on land, the claws touch the ground, the front and rear feet are flat and flat, and they are removed. It is obvious that the chameleon can effectively adapt to the gait crawling on the trees and the grass, and it is not impossible to hide itself on the land. Instead, it is noticed that the chameleon does not exceed 6 meters per minute even when it is running away from panic.
When I got up the next day, I found a chameleon swimming in the pool. I was the first time I saw this magical animal.
