Naksansa Temple offers beautiful views and a stunning temple! I visited for a historical tour because it's the place where the famous monk Uisang, whom I learned about in history books, stayed. Below is an explanation from Naver Encyclopedia: Uisang prayed for 27 days on the cliff to the east of Naksansa Temple to meet Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, but he could not fulfill his wish and was about to throw himself into the sea. At that moment, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva faintly appeared in a cave by the sea and handed him a wish-fulfilling jewel and a crystal rosary, saying, "You cannot see my whole body, but if you go up the mountain for several hundred steps, you will find two bamboo trees. Go there." That place is said to be the site of Wontongbojeon Hall. There are also auxiliary buildings such as Uisangdae Pavilion and Hongryeonam Hermitage, and this area is designated as Historic Site No. 495. I went at the event price, but there were many great benefits, such as breakfast included, unlimited use of the pool, and free use of the minibar.
