my next stop after St John fort is this prison museum at #malaka . Just for RM3, you can see prison in real life. Its simulation is from the Dutch colony until now. The area is very huge that you may get lost inside. There are few display rooms and many pictures on the wall. Great to discover if you are museum goers! Although I walk so much, I didn't feel tired at all. Where else can we go into museum and only pay less than $1?!

Very rocommended for those who likes history. It is very informative. You might spend up to 1.5 hour for the whole museum. It is quite big. RM3 for Malaysian adult with Mykad. There are so many exhibition rooms but most are filled with texts and drawing that draw by the prisoners. 👀 That said, the visit was still meaningful as the real prison rooms and special exhibits were giving quite some impacts. You can enter each cell and see their drawings and scribblings on the wall on the first and second floor. You can know more about the different types of punishments, uniforms and documents upstairs. There is a room where they hang the prisoners, but we are prohibited to take pictures. The museum showcases how they took xrays of prisoners in assumption of smuggling contraband, it has an outside court for lashings and an indoor hanging chamber for those on death row.

This may not be as popular as other tourist attractions at Malacca, but I feel this place is really worth visiting. It is very educational, and you will get a glimpse of how prison would look like, as this place was previously a real prison It was an unforgettable visit in my lifetime. The goosebumps I had was so real! The deep inside you walk the creepier it was. Many untold stories you can read through the prison cell walls. Begging for second chance and forgiveness were written throughout the walls and some impressive poems, regrets and drawings too. definitely worth a visit bit off a walk from the main tourist area in malacca city center and it will take around fifteen minutes. The entry fee for foreign tourist was only 6 ringgit per person absolote bargin. There was plenty to see and to do. aThis prision was still an active young offender's institution up until 2010 when it closed and work then began to turn this prison which was originally built by the British at the beginning of the 19th century into the museum which also features exhibitions from prison from all over Malaysia. we spent two and a half hours here nut could certainly be done in an hour but couldn't help but read all the information #historybuffs
