Wondering where to go for the May Day holiday? You should definitely come here to experience the hot spring that only costs three yuan
✨ I've discovered a treasure spot, the only one in the nation, where you can enjoy this wild tree hole hot spring for just 3 yuan, it's so comfortable~~~
✨ Underneath a century-old banyan tree in Mangbang Village, there lies a magical tree hole hot spring. After diving into it through a small cave entrance, you'll find a whole new world and marvel at the wonders of nature!
🍃 The western part of Yunnan is probably the richest in wild hot spring resources, but this one hidden under a tree is unique in the whole country. The main hot spring is located at the base of a huge ancient banyan tree's roots. This tree has been 'cooked' by the 50°C hot spring water for hundreds of years, yet it still thrives with a well-developed root system and lush foliage. The hot spring water and mountain spring water emerge from two gaps between the roots, and the villagers have built two pools, one with a higher temperature of about 40 degrees, and the other slightly lower.
🍃 Visitors can crawl through a small hole at the base of the banyan tree into the 'Banyan Tree Hole', and then pop their heads out from the 'heart-shaped' hole in front to breathe fresh air and take photos, full of wild fun. The tree hole is quite spacious, and it's no problem for seven or eight people to enter. However, the temperature inside is quite high, similar to a sauna, so it's not recommended to stay for long. Be careful not to get scratched by the cave entrance's lava when crawling in. The water quality inside the tree hole is very good, like emerald glass, and it looks beautiful in any photo you take.
🍃 Another thing to mention, the small road before entering the village is also very photogenic, with trees on both sides that bloom with purple flowers in April and May, attracting many locals to come and take pictures.
📋 Little tips:
1️⃣ Located in Mangbang Village, Zhefang Town, Dehong Prefecture, Mang City, it is inconvenient to reach by public transport, and it takes about 1 hour to drive from Mang City.
2️⃣ No admission fee. Only a 3 yuan sanitation management fee is charged, and parking costs 5 yuan, truly a conscience price.
3️⃣ It is recommended to visit in the morning or early afternoon when there are almost no people, which is convenient for photography, and the water is at its cleanest.
4️⃣ Since it is a wild hot spring used by the villagers, the infrastructure is basic, so be mentally prepared. There are outdoor showers and changing rooms, water and local snacks are sold at the entrance, and many local villagers come here to bathe and even wash vegetables every afternoon.
5️⃣ Be prepared for mosquito and sun protection, and make sure to protect your photography equipment from falling into the water. Clean up any trash you produce.
