Manyo Botanical Gardens, a treasure spot that is often overlooked in Nara travel guides, is actually worth a visit. This botanical garden is located within the Kasuga Taisha Shrine and is a must-see when visiting the shrine. Next to it is the famous Nara specialty Lotus House, where you can try the delicious Manyo porridge. There will be staff handing out flyers along the way, and you can easily find it by following the crowd.
Manyo Botanical Gardens is also a holy place for photography. It attracts tourists from all over the world. Everyone likes to take beautiful photos from various angles. The scenery changes throughout the year. As an exquisite small botanical garden, it has many special parks such as the Manyo Garden, the Grain Village, the Camellia Garden, and the Wisteria Garden. Every April and May, this place becomes a sea of flowers, with 20 different varieties of wisteria in full bloom, about 200 wisteria trees, ranging from pink to purple, white and blue, as if you are in a pink and purple flower sea in Central Europe
In addition to wisteria flowers, there are also various beautiful plants and buildings here, and even a pair of turtles can be seen leisurely basking in the sun in the pond. Spending half an hour touring slowly is definitely an unforgettable experience.
