There are many places in Hokkaido that are famous for their hills and plains. Fairy Tale Hill is one of them. In the seasons without snow, it is a flower field, and in the season of snow, it is a beautiful landscape based on a pure white snow field. It is called Fairy Tale Hill because the larch trees are lined up on a small hill like in a picture book. This place is located on the side of National Route 39 near Memanbetsu Airport. The basic access is by car. Please note that there is a roadside station nearby, so it may seem like it would be best to park your car there, but in fact there is a proper parking space right in front of Fairy Tale Hill. If you are taking the route from Memanbetsu Airport to Abashiri, there is a sign, so it is easy to find. If you park at the roadside station, you will have to walk for about 5 minutes, so be careful. Also, when taking photos, do it on the road. If you go off the road, you will enter a field. Memanbetsu 🌳Fairy Tale Hill🌳 This is an Instagrammable spot along National Route 39 in Memanbetsu, Ozora Town. Perhaps it's called Fairy Tale Hill because the scenery is like something out of a picture book. It's a place that's hard to get to without a rental car, but I recommend it because the surrounding area is a place where you can enjoy the vast scenery of Hokkaido. It shows a different face depending on the season, so you'll never get bored no matter how many times you go. The nearest airport is Memanbetsu Airport.
