[Nara x Cherry Blossoms] A spectacular weeping cherry tree 🌸 that is 13m tall and 300 years old
The cherry blossoms in Kyoto are nice, but there are also many beautiful cherry blossoms in Nara! !
The cherry blossom spots in Nara are not crowded because of the poor accessibility compared to Kyoto✨
That's why I want to avoid the crowds and go to the cherry blossoms in Nara😆
Today, I would like to introduce one of the best cherry blossom spots in Nara Prefecture, "Matabei Sakura".
This cherry tree, located in Uda City, Nara Prefecture, is named after the legend of the Sengoku period warlord "Goto Matabei" and the Goto family mansion that was located there🧐
It is also known as "Hongo no Taki Sakura", and as the character "taki" (waterfall) is included, it is a spectacular weeping cherry tree that looks like a magnificent waterfall!
This huge weeping cherry tree, with a trunk circumference of about 3m, a height of 13m, and said to be 300 years old, is breathtakingly beautiful✨
There is a promenade around the tree, so you can walk around it and get a good look at it👀
You have to pay a contribution of 100 yen to get close to it, but it's only 100 yen🤩
You can see it for free from the front side across the river, so it's a great deal even if you take that into account😍
During the peak viewing period, there is a special bus from Haibara Station, so it's easy to access✨
Please go and see it at least once!
