Maji Zao Cafe in Tsim Sha Tsui: New Surprises with Taiwanese Flavors.
Recently revisited Maji Zao Cafe in Tsim Sha Tsui, this restaurant's menu changes periodically, always bringing surprises🤩. We ordered several main dishes, including Braised Beef Noodles🍜, Spicy Duck Blood Pot, and Mapo Tofu Rice, and also chose a few snacks: Turnip Cake, Stinky Tofu, and my favorite Salmon Mentaiko Omelette.
The beef🥩 in the Braised Beef Noodles is tender, and the broth is rich. The noodles have the perfect texture, elastic and well combined with the beef and broth.
The aroma of the Spicy Duck Blood Pot is enticing, with a moderately spicy broth. The duck blood is tender, and the various ingredients make the overall flavor richer. Friends who love strong flavors will definitely fall in love with this dish🤤.
Mapo Tofu Rice offers a different taste, with tender tofu and spicy sauce, perfectly paired with white rice. The spiciness is not overwhelming, allowing you to enjoy every bite😋.
As for the snacks, the Turnip Cake is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside; the Stinky Tofu is a classic choice, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, paired with a special sauce that makes it irresistible. My favorite, the Salmon Mentaiko Omelette, has fresh fillings, and the rich flavor of mentaiko makes me keep eating.
Lunch also comes with fruit tea, and you can pay extra to upgrade to Taiwanese drinks like bubble tea🧋.
