[2025 Hong Kong Attraction] Travel Guide for MaWan1868 (Updated May)
2.9
Hong Kong Ma Wan 1868 is located on Ma Wan Island, between Lantau Island and Tsing Yi. It is a comprehensive tourist attraction that integrates historical culture, artistic experience and natural leisure. Here, the old village houses have been transformed into colorful art cottages with large-scale characteristic murals painted on the exterior walls, just like the "Hong Kong version of Cinque Terre". Combined with historical relics such as the Tin Hau Temple and the "Kowloon Pass" stone tablet, it shows the interweaving of art and history. Visitors can experience interactive courses such as pottery making and fabric dyeing in the cultural and creative studio, or go Glamping camping at the "Island Hill" on the top of the mountain, participate in stargazing, DIY Turkish lanterns, enjoy delicious food and sea views in the seaside restaurant, and even relieve stress through singing bowl therapy courses. The transportation is convenient and you can get there by ferry or bus from the pier. In the future, we plan to add new vacation homes, theaters and other facilities, and strive to become a new micro-vacation landmark that integrates diverse experiences.
