#mysgmemories Can lah! Let’s go makan! This is one of the must visit hawker center in Chinatown and it is the Maxwell market. When I was much younger, I remembered the hawkers here were washing their dishes in the center of the market. Nowadays this washing area have been relocated and using machinery to assist in washing and drying. There are many stores here with long queues and you can also find those Michelin recommend dishes too. The prices are reasonable, and it is not really expensive but you have to eat in an open-air space. The hawker culture in Singapore is really good and there are too many hawker centers to go.

the most popular and famous chicken rice in Singapore is Tian Tian chicken rice that located at Maxwell food center near Tanjong pagar road. so easy to find the food center. Tian Tian chicken rice always has a lot of customers but the queue is not long. just use 4-5 mins to get the food. The chicken rice taste really good. The restaurant has chicken rice 3 sizes which is S M and L the price is 5/6/7 dollar. I really like it. The rice so delicious and the chicken is really really really good. if you have plan to come to Singapore, you should come here to Maxwell food center. and then you should order Chicken rice from Tian Tian Chicken rice!!! #moreinsg At Maxwell Food Centre, I’m constantly spoilt for choice as there are just too many stalls selling delectable local delights. Even with snaking queues in front of several stalls, we still hop on the bandwagon cos’ the delicious food is worth the wait! This time, we chose to have: 1) Batang fish porridge (at $4.50 a bowl, it was great value for money especially when the fish slices were very fresh!) 2) Ondeh ondeh & tapioca cake (entirely handmade and usually sell out by 1pm!) 3) Fried white carrot cake (it’s hard to discover really tasty ones but this one was particularly fragrant!) 😋😋😋😋

#familytrips2024 The Maxwell food centre has been one of our favorite food centre since young. There are many delicious local foods here that you should not miss out on. Many of the stalls still operate in the evening to night time. It is just a short walk from the Maxwell train station only. You should try out their popular chicken rice, Cantonese style porridge, and their fried oysters cake. Our dream destination is to visit ho Chi Minh for our future family trip. We would like to visit the Ben Thanh market in the morning, to buy back cashew nuts with jackfruit crackers, to share with our friends to try. They tasted good and they liked it very much.

Best way to get here is by MRT and Maxwell is the one to go to. The food centre is only a short walk away from there. There are heaps of stalls and we arrived just before the lunch rush but once it gets to that time, you will see the queues swell up at the most popular stalls. There are lots of affordable options and you’re unsure where to purchase from, just see where the locals are lining up and join that queue and you can’t go wrong. #wheretogo #tripblazers Where to go? The Maxwell chambers is located at 32 Maxwell Road, Singapore 069115. While taking a walk around the Maxwell road, this building caught my eyes. I found the building looks like the European colonial style. At the first floor of the building are restaurants. The Maxwell chamber has now changed into a dispute resolution centre whereby you can approach them to look into your concerns and they would be able to advise you accordingly. Unlike in the past, where it was used by the Singapore custom for their work purposes.

Maxwell Food Center is a famous food center in Chinatown. During peak hours, it is very crowded because there are many shops, about 70-80 shops. You can see the long queue for delicious shops. You can share a table and there will be tissues for reserving a table. After eating, you can take your plates and bowls to collect. We stayed in this area so we had many meals here. Delicious, clean, and inexpensive. Recommended restaurants, delicious restaurants that you can eat at Ah-Tai Hainanese Chicken Rice or Ah Tai Chicken Rice, former... number one chef of Tian Tian Chicken Rice!!! Time: 11am-7.30pm (Closed every Tuesday) Fu Shun Shao La Mian Jia, a shop selling red pork, crispy pork, and roast duck, or changing to noodles. Everything is very delicious (the queue is long because the uncle was busy chatting with customers, lol) Famous restaurant that I wanted to eat at but didn't (but I couldn't wait, lol) Tian Tian Chicken Rice, the longest queue Lots of people form an L shape from the front of the shop to the back. Very central hawker center next to maxwell train station. There's a bunch of other stalls to choose from. Awesome spot for food. Tian Tian chicken rice has a quick queue with about a 5-10minute wait. The chicken has so much flavour, soft and silky and has some consistently as soft chewy jelly. Absolutely yummy 👍🏻
