Experience the cultural charm of Shanghai at the Bund MaxX Hotel.
One should enjoy the world, not try to understand it. I gradually came to this realization during my many business trips to Shanghai. Some cities have a unique charm, seamlessly blending into every frame and every corner. For example, the Bund, and the Shanghai Maxx Hotel. This brand under the German hotel group, Maxx, ingeniously blends the sophistication and prosperity of Shanghai with the classic regional culture of the Orient. 🌉 Things only reveal their unique beauty when they are in the right place, without being fragmented or deliberate. The Bund's iconic trio of buildings and the World Expo complex are effortlessly incorporated into the bedroom and dining room views. The bathroom mirror cleverly reflects the scenery of the river, offering a unique view during moments of relaxation. Each room's bar is equipped with custom-made cocktails. Sitting by the window at night, watching the interplay of ships and lights, evokes a sense of vacation relaxation. Even after a busy day of meetings and socializing, returning to the hotel feels worthwhile. This is perhaps the most profound memory a hotel can offer a traveler. 🏨 The hotel lobby, while not awe-inspiring in the context of the Bund's luxury, is meticulously designed with attention to detail. The furniture from the Danish brand, House of Finn Juhl, and the colorful cabinets combined with wood, are eye-catching. The paintings displayed in the gallery are all originals, and the porcelain teacups are from European luxury brands. The combination of old Shanghai and modern elements creates a sense of flourishing elegance. ☕ The restaurant's breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner combine beautiful views with delicious food. The set meals are highly recommended: Boston lobster, German pork knuckle, various German sausages, thick soup, pasta + dessert. For less than 500 yuan, it's enough for two people. The breakfast salad is my favorite, with an authentic taste, and the afternoon tea pastries are just right. 🧘♀️ The gym, butler service, and welcome fruits are all excellent. But my favorite is the 24-hour self-service laundry! It's perfect for families with children and business travelers like me who are on the road for a long time, making washing and ironing clothes a breeze. The location is unbeatable, right next to Yu Garden. You can go for a morning jog on the Bund just downstairs. Whether it's Nanjing Road or experiencing the ferry, everything is just a few minutes away. There's also a row of bicycles at the hotel entrance, convenient for cycling during restricted traffic hours. ☁️ Overall, the Shanghai Maxx Hotel, as a member of the Bund hotels, is a must-stay for both business trips and leisure travel. It not only offers comfortable service and thoughtful details but also evokes a sense of connection to the city. Highly recommended.
