Shenzhen Meilin Reservoir | The Wizard of Oz in the city🌳
In the bustling city of Shenzhen, Meilin Reservoir is like a paradise hidden behind the hustle and bustle. This time I will share with you a super detailed guide to Meilin Reservoir 📖
📍Address: North of Meilin Village 1, a large residential area in Futian District, Shenzhen, and east of Tanglang Mountain
🚇Transportation:
• Subway: Take the subway to Exit D of Xiameilin Station, turn right and walk/ride for about 10 minutes to the entrance of Meilin Reservoir.
• Public transportation: Take bus b821 and get off at Meilin Park Station, which is within walking distance.
• Self-driving: There is a parking lot next to the reservoir. You can navigate directly to Meilin Reservoir. However, it is recommended to drive on weekdays. There are many people traveling on holidays, so public transportation will be more convenient.
🎫Tickets: Free, it is a great place to relax with a high cost-effectiveness👏
⏰Opening hours: Open all day, but if you want to take beautiful photos, it is recommended to choose 7:00-8:30 in the morning or after 4:30 in the afternoon, when the light is soft and the photos are super beautiful📸
🌟Highlights:
• Hiking and oxygen breathing: This is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Walking along the reservoir, the air is incredibly fresh and full of negative oxygen ions, as if all the stress has been swept away. Along the way, you can also enjoy the green mountains, green waters, blue sky and white clouds, and feel like you have walked into the animation world of Hayao Miyazaki.
• Check-in and take photos: Internet-famous ladders, Japanese-style slopes, any shot will be a blockbuster. Wear a JK outfit or a little white dress and you can create a fresh Japanese style in minutes. The big lawn and the blue sky and white clouds complement each other, making the photos look great no matter how you take them.
• Popular science learning: As Shenzhen’s water conditions education base, there are many displays of water conditions knowledge here, which can help you gain knowledge while having fun.
❗Notes:
• Be sure to take anti-mosquito measures when traveling in summer, as mosquitoes are a little enthusiastic.
• If you are traveling with children, it is recommended to enter from the Meilin Reservoir Greenway entrance. The stone road behind is a bit bumpy and not very convenient for pushing a stroller.
• Take care of the environment, don’t litter, and let this beauty continue.
Meilin Reservoir is really a treasure. Whether you want to relax, take photos, or bring your kids to nature, this is a great choice. Come and meet your own Wizard of Oz~
