This small reservoir is located in Longhua district of Shenzhen close to Zhucun subway station. There is a smooth path around the whole reservoir perfect for riding bikes around. The reservoir is one of the greenest places I have seen in Shenzhen and during the rain the smell from the plants and flowers was Incredibly refreshing. The top of the reservoir dam was closed but I saw many fishing birds perched along the top. The reservoir is one of several in Longhua district that provide drinking water so it's a very important part of the city and one that can double as a place of nature and relaxation. #passionpassport

There is no shortage of green-ways in Shenzhen, from walks to biking and more. Meilin has long been a popular hiking destination due to its low altitude and easy level, and the fact it connects to Tanglang is a big bonus. Meilin also has a great reservoir that is great for a pleasant walk. It is very picturesque and is full of casual local walkers, and on weekends lots of families too. The path is long but very easy and well paved with very little incline. It leads all the way to Xili from Futian. You can do the whole thing or just do a loop on yourself the choice is yours. There is also the option to connect up to Tanglang mountain Highly recommended. Meilin Reservoir is located in the northern part of Shenzhen city center and is a great place for Shenzhen citizens to relax, play and exercise. There are large areas of green trees and grass here, and the air is fresh and pleasant, making people feel like they are in an urban oasis. First, take Metro Line 9 to Xiameilin Station, exit from Exit D, turn right, and walk for about ten minutes until you see the iron gate of Meilin Reservoir! As soon as you enter the reservoir, you will be shocked by the beautiful scenery surrounded by mountains on three sides, with clear water, green banks, and a quiet and pleasant environment. A good place for a walk after dinner is Meilin Reservoir and Meilin Park. Exit D of Xiameilin Metro Station At noon, you can go to Mantianfu Tea House for tea After a walk, you will reach Meilin Reservoir (North Extension of Futian Central Axis). It's great for photos, with few people and beautiful scenery, and it's windy and cool. Walk up the dam, go straight to the right, and then turn right to go directly to Meilin Park. Meilin Park is mainly designed with plant landscaping, and there are intelligent fitness equipment in the ancient lychee garden area. But there are really a lot of mosquitoes!!
