I headed to "Menya Ayami," a place I definitely wanted to visit on my trip to Hokkaido. It's about a 10-minute walk from Misono Station on the Sapporo Subway Toho Line. When I arrived at the restaurant at 11:40 on a weekday after the three-day weekend, there were already about 35 people waiting, and it took about 50 minutes before I could enter the restaurant and start eating. There were parasols in the queue, which I think you could borrow on a hot day. The soup was flavored with ginger and didn't smell too much like pork bones, so it was delicious.
