I stay in Hongdae every time I go to Seoul This time I chose the newly opened Mercure Hotel Hongdae. The price is about $800 a night. The location is super superior. In terms of room facilities, it features a separate bathroom and toilet cubicle. Hair dryer and there’s a mini bar fridge are also provided. Overall I very satisfied with the stay at this hotel, and really appreciate the upgrade due to me having a longer stay at this hotel. Thank you.

This hotel was in the center of Hongdae. Close to malls, subway station, restaurant, shops. It was very clean and the staff were very helpful. We arrived there early in the morning, our check in was supposed to be hours later but they checked us in ! I was very thankful as I was exhausted. Staff spoke English. The hotel is about 3mins walk from exit 9 of Hongik Univ. If you have luggage, you may want to take Exit 8 where the elevator is. Lobby is at level 4 and the scent is AMAZING! Check in is a breeze and I got my room fairly quickly. Room is spacious with a small balcony. Since it is winter, the AC is not very cold. You can choose to have the balcony door open for fresh COLD air. The good thing is the balcony has 3 sliding doors- the main one that you can lock, a second one that keeps the traffic noise out and a screen door to keep the bugs out if you wish to let cold air in. separate shower and toilet with electric bidet. amenities and shower gels, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, body lotion are provided. #freehotelstay

I managed to locate another easy to access hotel along Hongdae main street, Mercure Ambassador Seoul Hongdae. The surrounding area looks great with many retail shops and eateries, and it is right on Hongdae Shopping street. But it will need a short walk to the nearest Hongdae station subway. The Incheon airport bus station is also not right at the hotel. However, their location is awesome and this hotel is an international chain so their rooms should be above standards. The location of the hotel is very convenient. it is near the bus stops and metro station. There are many restaurants, coffee shoes and convenient stores around the hotel. The room is nice and provide free water every day. However, the air co is not stable. Also, you can hear from the singers who perform in Hongdae in the room! It is very noisy and it disturbs my resting time.

If you enjoy the nightlife and everything urban, then this hotel that is in the prime location of Hongdae could be your go to. The rooms were big enough and cozy. Love the toilet and shower separation! Service was super friendly overall a very nice stay. The one downside of this place is Taxi drivers might get confused as the entrance of this hotel is behind in the alley and not on the main road. When we arrived from the airport we were actually left on the main road and we had to carry our luggages through Musinsa which was linked to get to the hotel lifts. #seoul #hotel
