A mountaineering route that has been covered in dust for more than 2,000 years - Dongyu Road
Taishan East Royal Road Scenic Area is located at the eastern foot of Mount Tai, starting from Shangliyuan Village.
The winding road is about 5 kilometers in total and has more than 4,000 steps. Compared with the Hongmen Middle Road hiking route, the slope is gentler, the traffic is comfortable, and it is suitable for slow hiking.
According to historical records, Qin Shihuang Yingzheng specially opened this road for the purpose of enshrining Mount Tai in 219 BC. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty Liu Che went to Mount Tai eight times to enshrine Zen. He once rode a horse to climb mountains here. He took the meaning of "the east leads, and the energy rises from the east", which means that the purple energy rises from the east. Come, the country is peaceful and the people are safe, hence the name of Dongyu Road.
