So today we decided to take a trip out of the city, after going through the many place recommended on trip.com, we decided to go to Miaofengshan scenery spot. The ride there from Choayang was pretty smooth, we didn't get any traffic. Driving up the mountain was AMAZING, we saw some animals all over, Including a squirrel. The trip from Beijing to the location, took about 2hours. When we finally got there, it wasn't too busy, and there was lots of parking, but because of the snow, it was a little cold, still beautiful, We had tobwalk from the parking to the entrance. It costs 40rmb for adults, children are free. Once inside, there is a path to follow, with some art on the walls(see photos), there are stairs to the left, and right, and both sides have Amazing views, there are some binoculars you have to scan and pay to use, but we didn't, as it cost more than our tickets(88rmb). On the one side they also have a temple, Where people were burning incence, and praying, the smell was a little overwhelming, like most temples. We spent about 1hour there before returning to our car. This scenery is pretty far from the city, and there is not much to do, so was it worth it? I would say yes.. It was nice to see the Beautiful views, and to get out of the city.. Will I do it again? No, It's too far, and there is not much else to do there. #roadtrip

The Miao Feng Mountain Deyun Temple in Dayao is stunning in every aspect, from its environment to its architecture to its people! This temple is quite far from the county town and there are no major roads nearby. Even on holidays, there are few visitors coming here for sightseeing or to offer incense. Because I liked it here so much, I spent the whole afternoon wandering around, had dinner here, but eventually, it was too late to go down the mountain. Fortunately, the master said that the temple offers free accommodation, which was incredibly touching. Walking around the deserted ancient temple at night is a truly wonderful experience. Xu Xiake, four hundred years ago, also stayed one night at the newly built Deyun Temple. Four hundred years have passed, and only the night sky and the pleasant sound of the wind chimes remain unchanged. ps. Even if you don't stay here, consider coming a bit later and leaving a bit later. Since Deyun Temple faces east and west, the time just before sunset has the softest light and the best colors of the buildings, while coming in the morning would mean severe backlighting.
