We drove along the wilderness trails for more than two hours and saw five or six wild elephant activities, especially an elephant with two baby elephants, leisurely eating grass and playing in the mud in the bushes, completely ignoring the onlookers from various countries and casually walking between the paths where jeeps were parked. It was completely different from the Xishuangbanna where one had to be careful to guard against and avoid elephants. Here no one fed food to wild animals (which was against the law), no one shouted loudly, but just quietly suppressed their excitement and kept taking pictures and watching with cameras, mobile phones and binoculars. The picture was very harmonious and beautiful. On the way, we also encountered Sri Lankan monkeys, Komodo dragons, peacocks, foxes and muntjacs, as well as many other birds whose names we couldn't remember, such as hawks and falcons and various parrots on the trees. The driver would constantly observe and stop the car to point out the direction for tourists to observe. The service was very considerate, but it was a pity that I didn't bring a telephoto lens this time. Standing in an open jeep on the bumpy road and feeling the pursuit of wild animals in the vast wilderness was a very pleasant and rare experience. Sri Lanka is an island country with a well-preserved ecological environment. It is known as the Pearl of the Indian Ocean. Monkeys, squirrels, cattle egrets and various birds can be seen in parks and hotel green spaces at any time. Sri Lankan monkeys have two standard "black fungus". Next time I go, I will definitely bring a telephoto lens with me, so as not to miss the opportunity to photograph distant wild animals...
