Huxishan Yongbao Temple - Japanese garden temple with beautiful red leaves, which makes people intoxicated
Located in Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture, Torokei-zan Eihoji is a Zen temple famous for its magnificent autumn leaves. Every autumn, the red leaves here attract many tourists to come and admire, and it has become one of the 33 selected red leaves in Hida Mino. The traditional Japanese garden in the temple is beautifully designed, and the layout of the pond and spring makes people feel the tranquility and harmony of nature.
The red leaves of Yongbao Temple and the 700-year-old ginkgo tree in front of the temple complement each other, forming a colorful autumn picture. When the leaves turn fiery red and orange, the contrast with the blue sky becomes even more vivid, making people linger. The red leaves here are not only a natural wonder but also a cultural symbol, attracting photography enthusiasts and nature lovers to capture the beauty of this moment.
The "Guanyin Hall" and "Kaishan Hall" in the temple are also important cultural heritages, adding a sense of history to this quiet space. Visitors can meditate here and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of autumn. Every autumn, the red leaves of Yongbao Temple attract a large number of tourists, becoming a sanctuary for people's souls, allowing people to find a peaceful place in their busy lives.

Kokeizan Eihoji
This spot is not really famous even Japanese people. If you go there in the morning, you will be overwhelmed by the tranquility. In autumn, the leaves turn red.
To get there, you should take a bus. The bus runs once an hour. If your time is limited, you can take a taxi from Tajimi station.#Eihoji #Autumn #Gifu #Japan #Temple #虎渓山永保寺 #紅葉 #岐阜 #名古屋

A mysterious museum
#tripmemory2022
The building with its distinctive shape was designed and constructed by architect Terunobu Fujimori.
The building, designed with the motif of a quarry where the raw materials for tiles are excavated, is large and mysterious, with a cute little entrance.
There are many things to see, such as a windowless building, a gaping hole in the building, and a staircase where light shines in.
The tile workshop can be booked, and you can make your own work, so I recommend it!
There was no time to meet for the experience on the day I went, so I bought a few tiles as a gift and used them for crafts at home.
From September 1, 2022, the reservation system for the 500 yen workshop will be lifted for weekday experience studios, and reservations will be required only on weekends and holidays.
Recommended for people who love #art and have a hobby of #diy and #handmade!

Tajimi Mosaic Museum Fujimori Architecture
#AutumnTravel #Trip2022 I went to Tajimi to visit Terunobu Fujimori's Mosaic Museum, which I had been wanting to visit.
The building is modeled after a clay mountain, and you can look at it forever.
There are stairs inside up to the 4th floor, but they are intentionally made a little thinner as you go further. The stairs are also made of straw and leaves...kneaded together with the soil.
The building is modeled after a clay mountain, but it reminded me of pottery and clay figurines.
Half of the 4th floor is unroofed, so you can enjoy the changes in the tiles depending on the weather. #
Of course, if it rains, the floor will get wet.
I had lunch with a drink at Swan Cafe.
It seems that workshops can be held at both Swan Cafe and the Mosaic Museum. I didn't have time to do it, but I bought some tiles to take home. It was a really fun day.

Tajimi Bridge Dream Plaza: A Riverside Hidden Gem
Located in the city of Tajimi, Gifu Prefecture, Tajimi Bridge Dream Plaza is a scenic riverside spot that offers a peaceful escape from the urban bustle. Overlooking the Toki River, this open plaza provides visitors with a blend of natural beauty and cultural charm, making it a delightful stop for those exploring the region.
The bridge itself is a local landmark, connecting different parts of the city while offering picturesque views of the flowing river below. The surrounding area is designed as a relaxation space, featuring walking paths, seating areas, and seasonal flower displays. In spring, cherry blossoms frame the river, creating a serene setting perfect for a leisurely stroll or a quiet moment of reflection. During autumn, the foliage transforms the landscape into a vibrant canvas of reds and oranges.

[Gifu/Tajimi] A tourist spot designated as a national treasure! *Kokeizan Eihoji Temple*
I'd like to introduce you to Kokeizan Eihoji Temple, a tourist spot in Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture. ✨
The name "Kokei" was apparently given to the temple because the scenery there resembles the Hukei River in Lushan, China! ⛰️
The temple grounds are very large and there are many things to see. In particular, the Kannon Hall and Kaisan Hall are important cultural properties designated as national treasures. ◎
When the autumn leaves season arrives, the temple is bustling with more people than usual! I also went there during the autumn leaves season, and I was impressed by the colorful scenery, with some leaves already turning red and others still green!
If the time is right, I recommend going during the autumn leaves 🌟

Strolling Garden - Kokeizan Eihoji Temple
#2月好去2025
Eiboji Temple was built in the 16th century. Because it is somewhat similar to the Tiger Creek in Lushan Mountain in China, it is also called Tiger Creek Mountain. There are many lush trees near the temple. If you go there in spring or autumn, the flowers and red leaves will make the temple even more beautiful.

An art museum in Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture.
The exterior of the building is distinctive, and when you get close, you can see the fine tiles embedded in it, which is very beautiful.
In the indoor exhibition on the 4th floor, the ceiling is literally open, so you can look directly at the sky. On a nice day, the fine tiles sparkle in the natural light and are very beautiful. I recommend visiting on a nice day.

For just 500 yen, you can experience making accessories using tiles.

I went to the snack market in Futako Tamagawa
I saw a scone shop so I bought some
This is a scone shop in Gifu Prefecture!
I found a shop in Gifu Prefecture that I hadn't had a chance to go to before!
The crispy outside and fluffy inside, the moderate sweetness spread in my mouth, and I enjoyed the elegant taste. I could feel a slight buttery flavor, and it went very well with tea. The light texture was pleasant and made me feel happy every time I ate it.

Nagoya 4 days and 3 nights free travel
#枫叶季
In early December, I took my kids on a four-day, three-night trip to Nagoya. The maple leaves there were really beautiful. We took a JR train directly from the airport to downtown Nagoya for dinner. There were many delicious foods to choose from on the 12th and 13th floors of Takashimaya. After dinner, we returned to the hotel to check in. For this trip, we chose Hotel Inuyama Intercontinental, which has a good environment. The next day we chartered a car to go to Eihoji Temple and Korankei. The scenery was very beautiful. The advantage of visiting Nagoya is that there are not so many people, so it is very suitable for bringing children. The next day, I took my child to Legoland, which is very suitable for young children. My six-year-old child had a lot of fun. All in all, this trip was very enjoyable. I look forward to visiting Tokyo next time.

Eihō-ji Temple, Gifu
Eihō-ji Temple in Gifu was founded in 1313, at the end of the Kamakura period, and is the earliest Zen Buddhist garden of this period. With a history of over 700 years, Eihō-ji Temple combines Chinese architectural styles and has withstood the test of time. The architectural aesthetics of the Kannon-dō and Kaisan-dō, which are designated as national treasures, are still impressive. The pond garden is quite unique, and the bridge pavilion built in the Wolong Pond in front of the Kannon-dō has become a precedent for Japanese bridge pavilions. In the courtyard, there is a tree over 700 years old with lush branches and leaves. The maple leaves in early winter are still green, and suddenly a fiery red dragonfly falls on the wall tiles in front of you, flying lightly like a flame, lighting up the picture of early winter.

The itinerary includes:
⭐️Huxi Mountain Yongbao Temple, the ancient building scenery is super beautiful🤩 Seeing a 700-year-old ginkgo tree, my brother drew a lucky draw👍🏻 ⭐️Artificial lake "Yuna Gorge", my father and I both dropped the coin into the water basin on the edge of the cliff, my wish came true🩷⭐️ Japanese ancient buildings are lined with "horse cage", photography is beautiful! Must-try skewers wagyu 🤤 and the restaurant behind the skewers! Enjoy lunch with garden view☺️ Super great! ⭐️ Finally went to the "wife cage", admire the traditional building, sipped a cup of ice cream 🍦 satisfied ~ Although there is no playground, but the children enjoyed the food and environment ~ walk and see 😉 They said it was great ~

This is a larger parker than most city parks, with trails for hiking, a visitor's center, as well as grassy open spaces for playing (slightly hilly so not ideal for ball sports, but not steep). The parking lot is never full, and the open areas get good sunlight most of the day so good for picnics. Walking all the trails would probably take you an hour, but are mostly wooded, a stream here and there, and generally very quiet and peaceful.

A historic Zen temple with a beautiful garden, a national treasure building, and a view of the Toki River
1. Address: 1-42 Kokeisan-cho, Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture
Recommended points: Eiho-ji Temple's autumn leaves have been selected as one of the 33 best autumn leaves in Hida Mino. In autumn, the maples in the garden and the 700-year-old ginkgo tree in front of the main hall turn vibrant colors, and stand out beautifully against the clear blue autumn sky.
The mountain was given the name Kokei-san because it resembled the valley of Lushan in China. The garden has been designated a national scenic spot, and the Kannon Hall and Kaisan-do Hall are national treasures.
Pets are allowed. Free admission is also a plus.
