It is located at Osmeña St, Cebu City which is just beside the famous landmark of Magellan’s Cross which is a no stranger to anyone and is also near to other tourist spots in Cebu. During our visit, there was no mass so instead we took time to fall in line along with everybody else to offer a little prayer to the Santo Niño statuette. In 1565, Cebu experienced a big fire, and the entire Cebu was razed to the ground, but the only baby was intact and became a legend. Therefore, people think that the Holy Child is blessed with the blessing of God, and worshipped it, and specially built a statue of the young Jesus Christ at the place where the image of the baby was found, and placed a replica of the image of the baby in the convent of the Catholic Church. Inside, the original version of the baby is preserved in the holy temple of the church. Listening to this story, I seem to think that this place has to go. Around the church, many believers who sell candles, they have a uniform dress, volunteer here, if someone buys a candle, they pray together, all income is used for the repair and maintenance of the church.
