One of the most popular viewpoints for tourists is Miradouro de Santa Luzia. 📌 Location / Atmosphere Miradouro de Santa Luzia is located in the Alfama area. It is built as a courtyard in front of the Igreja de Santa Luzia church. There is a tram stop on line 28E passing through it, making it very convenient to travel. There are 2 levels of viewpoints here. The upper level is next to the church. There is a small, beautiful, shady garden called Jardim Júlio de Castilho, which is dedicated to the famous Portuguese writer. If you walk down the stairs a little bit, you will be on the lower level with a crystal clear blue pool. Both floors have a café serving drinks and light food. If you have time to relax, you can sit and sip coffee and enjoy the view. ➡️ Pergola It is a long balcony on the edge of the cliff. There are open wooden lattices as a roof to provide shade. You can see the view of the Tagus River (or Rio Tejo) and the houses in the Alfama area. You can clearly see important landmarks such as the white dome of the National Pantheon. In addition to the beautiful view, the balcony itself is decorated with patterned tiles, or Azulejos, which are very beautiful. There are both upper and lower floors of the Pergola, but of course the upper floor has a better view. ➡️ Azulejos In addition to the floral patterned tiles decorating the Pergola, on the outer wall of the Igreja de Santa Luzia on the east side facing the garden, there are also 2 beautiful Azulejos. For tourists like me ,Tram 28 is by far the most popular line in Lisbon. The route runs from Martim Moniz to Campo de Ourique and it passes by some of the best sites in the city like Miradouro de Santa Luzia, the famous cafe A Brasileira, Jardim da Estrela, and Saint Anthony’s Church. The entire trip from Martim Moniz to Campo de Ourique (or vice versa) usually takes less than an hour (depending on traffic). Cash is acceptable on board the tram and it run from point to point. If you ride to the end, you have to get off and then get back on the tram (paying again) if you want to go back. #tripblazers #fallingforfall

[Miradouro de portas do sol] The Sun Gate Observation Deck Pursor Gate Observatory is a few steps away from the observation deck above, you can see it, Here is a direct taxi ride because the Lisbon roads are up and down and some observation decks need to climb. is probably a bit higher than that of the viewing platform.
