#temples Tua Pek Kong Temple Miri is the oldest temple in the present-day Miri city. It is the only building in town center that safe from japanese bombing, city fire and flooding. I really enjoyed visiting this temple and it not dawn on me why it was called Tua Pek Kong until I visited!!! There is a large statue of Tua Pek Kong and I've never seen anything quite like it in Malaysia.
