I've stayed in countless budget hotels, but this one in Kyoto made me want to settle down there!
Recently, I went to Kyoto and stayed at Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Sanjo. I had a great experience, so I wanted to share it with you all!
Convenient transportation🚇: Located on Sanjo Street in Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto City, it's a 3-minute walk to Karasuma Oike Station and an 8-minute walk to Shijo Station and Hankyu Karasuma Station.
Rich facilities🎈: There are 185 rooms, as well as a restaurant, a large bathhouse, and a gym. The design is modern, the space is spacious, and the supplies are from a custom Italian brand.
Surrounded by attractions🏯: Gion, Nijo Castle, and other attractions are all within a ten-minute drive.
Thoughtful service💕: The front desk offers multilingual services, luggage storage, and free accommodation for children under 6 years old when staying with adults.
Check-in experience:
- Check-in: The front desk staff speak fluent English and provide attentive service. The standard Japanese service, from smiling greetings to polite farewells, is excellent😁.
- Public areas: The floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of the Japanese garden, which is beautiful🌸. There are self-service amenities, hot spring pools, and a relaxing view of the garden♨. It has a retro atmosphere.
- Room: The room type is not very square, and the space is compact. If you make a note in advance, you can be arranged on a higher floor.
- Breakfast: I highly recommend the package with breakfast for two🥪. There are many options, the quality is good, and the view from the dining area is amazing.
- Surroundings: It's close to the subway, and you can walk to Hanamikoji Street, the shopping street, and Yasaka Shrine.
Review: The design and service are well-received, and there are many shopping malls and convenience stores nearby. It's within a 15-minute drive to major attractions.
