Located in Uruma City, on the remote Miyagi Island, which can be reached by car, [Uruma no Shima Soba Umi wo Nomu] A soba restaurant that mainly uses ingredients harvested from the sea. The popular standard menu item is the "Umi wo Nomu Soba" topped with Okinawa's three major seaweeds, mozuku seaweed, arasa seaweed, and sea grapes. Also, it seems that they offer limited-time menu items depending on the availability of ingredients at the time. When we visited, they had a limited-time menu item, "Umi to soybean wo Nomu Soba," so we ordered that. Umi wo Nomu Soba is combined with soy milk tantanyushi tofu. It looked rich, but the aroma of the sea wafted from the bowl, and the seafood broth was light and the soup went down great. The restaurant was compact, but the gentle aroma of the sea breeze was wrapped around us and we spent a relaxing time. They are open only on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. The sacred grounds of Shirumichu are located in the forest on the south side of Hamahiga Island (opposite the Hamahiga Bridge). Pass through a stone torii gate, climb 108 steps, and then pass through another smaller torii gate at the top of the steps to reach the sacred grounds of Shirumichu. Perhaps due to its location in the forest, it feels as if it is cut off from the outside world. Inside the cave is a stalactite called Yin Stone, which is worshiped as a sacred stone that grants fertility. There is free parking. By chance? There are several spots with spectacular ocean views in Okinawa (Manzamo and Kouri Island in the north), but this is my favorite! You can get to this spot via the underwater road, and it's a very enjoyable drive as you can see the ocean😊
