Miyako Island Drive Trip - A spectacular view from Ikema Bridge! Comfortable Miyako Airport
Our drive around Miyakojima is almost over.
After lunch, we headed to Ikema Island.
✅Ikema Bridge
The Ikema Bridge is a 1,425m long bridge that connects Miyakojima and Ikemajima, and was opened on February 14, 1992.
It seems that the middle part of the bridge is raised for ship navigation.
It is also the bike course for the All Japan Triathlon Miyakojima Tournament.
That's why I saw many people practicing on road bikes during the drive!
The view from here was also spectacular!
But be careful not to look away!
There is a parking lot on the right before crossing to Ikemajima, so I recommend parking there and relaxing to enjoy the view.
Speaking of Ikema Island,
there is a famous gelato shop called Ninufa, but unfortunately it was closed. . .
You can also see a tourist spot called Heart Rock from the terrace seats of the shop, but unfortunately we couldn't see it. . .
The drive around Miyakojima was over lol 😌
On the way back
✅To Miyako Airport
It was pitch black when we arrived, but it was bright on the way back so we could look around carefully.
It's a small airport so you don't have to walk around, so it's easy lol
I was surprised to see a super large monitor in the restricted area.
I was also surprised by the large monitor in Umeda, Osaka, but this one was also quite large!
