#0yentravelFebruary2025 I visited Moanalua Gardens on Oahu and saw the famous "What kind of tree is this?", which is also famous in Japan. It was bigger than I imagined, and the beautiful branches were impressive, creating a wonderful contrast with the green grass. The park was quiet and a great place to take a leisurely stroll. After that, I went to Konpira Shrine in Hawaii. Although it is a small shrine, the torii gates and the atmosphere of the grounds were authentic, and a sacred space that blended Japanese and Hawaiian cultures spread out. I was able to spend a moment of calm between sightseeing. Both were special spots unique to Oahu, and it was a memorable experience.

I'd never actually seen it before, so this time I rented a car to go there! It's located in Moanalua Gardens on Oahu. Moanalua Garden Park is about a 30-minute drive from Waikiki. There are many trees of the same species as this tree planted in the park, but the pamphlet I received said that this is the tree that appeared in the Hitachi commercial! So I knew it right away. There are almost no tourists, so you can relax. Is it hot in the summer...? It might be just right for small children to play.
