In Ganzi, Sichuan, at the congregation of scenic areas around Xinduqiao municipal, to the north is the Moshi Park (Inked Rock Park). Over the years, these rocks are weathered forming an array of interesting structures and texture, with what appears like folds, jagged edges, rugged surface and appearance, and some are rather smooth. At an altitude of 3,500m above sea level, it is a transitional zone from tree forest to grassland. Forests, shrubs and grasses are found here and the surrounding hills, creating autumn shades of green, yellow, orange, brown and red. Wild animals can sometimes be seen here, and chance of viewing is uncertain. The locals rear yak and horses, and these animals can sometimes be seen here as well. I visited the park twice, the second visit (2024) was 10 days later than the first (2023). It was noticed that the yellow display of the hills in the first visit, was redder in the second visit. Notably, the entire park looked redder in the second visit. The photos shown here are a mixture from both the visits. Moshi Park is often included as one of the destinations in Daocheng Yading tours. The nearest village to her is the Bamei village. There are vantage points to view the rock forest from a distance, and there are walkways to walk beside and among the rocks.
